MTSS stands for Multi-Tiered System of Support, a framework that uses research-based strategies to support students’ needs: 

    • Integrates systems

      MTSS connects education, health, and human service systems to support students, schools, and communities. 

    • Uses data

      MTSS uses data to identify trends and patterns, allocate resources, and provide targeted interventions. 

    • Supports social, emotional, and behavioral needs

      MTSS supports students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs from a strengths-based perspective. 

  • Provides differentiated instruction

    MTSS provides instruction and supports that are differentiated to meet students’ unique needs. 

  • Monitors progress

    MTSS monitors student progress to determine instructional effectiveness and guide decision-making.
