🍎 Teacher Appreciation Week: Let's Celebrate! 🍎
Hi Horizon Elementary Families! It’s time to show some extra love to the incredible teachers and staff who make our school so special. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4th – 8th, and we have a fun-filled week planned!
Whether it’s a quick rhyme or a hand-picked flower, let’s make sure our teachers know just how much we value everything they do.

Check out our daily themes, our amazing Peer Leadership Team came up with to help your student participate:

MONDAY: Poem Day📝
- Write a poem with a rhyme! It only takes a little bit of time.

TUESDAY: Flower Day🌻
- Make a lei, arrange a bouquet, or pick some flowers before coming to school.

WEDNESDAY: Picture Day📸
- Take, draw, create, frame, or digitize a picture to show your teacher how special they are.

THURSDAY: Heartmade Day❤️
- DIY (Do It Yourself)! Make something special or come up with a creative compliment. Anything that comes from the heart counts!

FRIDAY: Treat Day🧁
- Help your teachers end their week on a sweet note with some treats—or just be a "treat" and be extra sweet all day!
✨ Helpful Tips ✨
- Favorite Things: Check the attached "Teachers' Favorite Things" list if you need some inspiration for Friday or Thursday!
- Keep it Simple: This is all optional. We don't expect you to go out and spend money. The goal is simply to use this time to say "thank you."
- Heartfelt is Best: Sometimes a simple note of appreciation means the most!
